Interview with O. J. Curry concerning his experiences as emeritus dean of the College of Business Administration at North Texas State University (which later became the University of North Texas). Curry recalls his family background, his teaching and retail work experiences, his doctoral work at the University of Michigan, his employment with the National Bureau of Economic Research, and his experiences on the faculty at the University of Arkansas. He also discusses the Depression, his experiences on the faculty at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, his work with the American Petroleum Institute during World War II, and the development of the College of Business at North Texas State. Curry speaks about postwar enrollment growth, business faculty recruitment, the planning of the Business Administration Building, philosophies of business education, the growth of the business program, and his activities as dean of the College of Business Administration. Curry further comments upon faculty, staff, and administrative developments, the accreditation of business programs, the interaction of the College with the business community, and Curry shares his views on the Matthews, Kamerick, and Nolen administrations at the University. He also talks about his research, consulting, and organizational activities, his business ventures, his views on the educational process, minorities in the business program, and business trends, as well as his views on improving quality of life and retirement.

Outside of museum holdings, no comprehensive survey and inventory of campus artwork had been attempted since 1937. With support from the Michigan Commission on Art in Public Places, 1,076 items were inventoried during 1988-1990. Additional inventory work was undertaken in 1997-1998 for risk management purposed, but generated little new information.
